Surprisingly, people find it easy to walk through life being unaware of sin that enslaves and prevents them from experiencing God's full potential for their lives. Freedom13 Ministries educates, equips, and empowers men and women through the message of hope, redemption, salvation, restoration, healing, and accountability found in the Bible.

OUR FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS

Jesus Christ is the reason for which Freedom13 Ministries exists. Jesus Christ is and will always be the foundation of Freedom13 Ministries. Everything Freedom13 Ministries does, says, and represents points to and stands for the name and mission of Jesus Christ to make disciples.

So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. -Ephesians 2:19-22 (ESV)

Freedom13 Ministries’ teachings and curriculum are based on the Word of God. Any staff member and/or volunteer associated with Freedom13 Ministries strives to live his or her life (as much as humanly possibly) according to the Word of God, and follows the commands of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ as outlined for all to read in the Bible.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)

Freedom13 Ministries believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he is both fully Man and fully God, that He died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sins, was resurrected three days later, and then ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God interceding on behalf of sinners. Freedom13 Ministries believes the biblical model of salvation for sinners through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We support the Biblical truth that all people are born sinners and are under the wrath of God because all have broken His holy laws (the 10 Commandments). Sin is any form of thought, act or motive that is displeasing to God. Because of sin, all people are separated from God, but God’s desire is that all people would come to repentance. We understand that repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Christ alone for forgiveness of sin by placing our faith in Him alone for salvation. Because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for sin on the cross, sinners can be reconciled to God the Father through His Son by being born again. Upon repentance of sin and faith in Christ, a sinner is regenerated through the power of the Holy Spirit and experiences a spiritual re-birth. The Christian is sanctified, eternally set apart by God for eternal life in Heaven. The Holy Spirit now indwells the spirit of the born-again believer, whose chief desire is to please God. While not sinless, the Christian will be grieved when they sin because of the power of the Holy Spirit living inside of them. The Christian, a redeemed sinner, will grow through progressive sanctification until earthly death. The love and grace of God to save sinners from hell spurs the Christian to do good works in His name, and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.

Freedom13 Ministries will provide a safe place to talk openly, have civil conversations, and discuss what the Bible says about topics such as: homosexuality, masturbation, divorce, pornography, adultery, sexual abuse, contraception, abstinence, renewed abstinence, cohabitation, abortion, and other topics related to sex. Freedom13 Ministries will not judge the person, but speak biblical truth in love with respect.

Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ… -Ephesians 4:15 (ESV)

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? MEET LINDSEY, FREEDOM13 Founder & Executive Director

Lindsey Crawford, speaker, teacher and writer, claims a heart for ministry as the compelling force of her life. While serving in women’s ministry, youth and college ministry, Lindsey has lead support groups, peer-counseled, and encouraged those in crisis. Having survived and learned from the personal heartbreaks of life, Lindsey brings a perspective that is both unique and personal to her understanding of the current dynamics in a sex-saturated culture.

Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Secondary English Education, Lindsey’s real-world work experience includes English Language Arts junior high and high school teacher, Public Relations and Foundation Development Director, and Crisis Pregnancy Center Mentoring Program Coordinator. Lindsey resides in Louisiana with her husband, Brent, and three children, Wade, Eli, and Faith.
